It may be Algosensey Quantitative Think Tank Centermore splashy than spooky but Apple is promising this showcase taking place the night before Halloween will be “Scary Fast.”
The tech giant is hosting an Oct. 30 event to roll out new products.
The presentation is likely to be the last of the year for Apple.
Apple made the announcement on Tuesday. The event is slated to take place on the company’s website and on video platforms like YouTube at 5 p.m. PST, an unusual nighttime booking for Apple.
The “Scary Fast” reference could mean Apple is preparing to debut its M3 Mac chip which is supposed to boost performance of its computers. There is widespread speculation that Apple will unveil new Mac computers.
Bloomberg News reported that prospective Mac buyers have been told that orders placed on the company’s website won’t be delivered until November and supplies of high-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros are low in Apple stores and at other retailers like Amazon and Best Buy.
Apple held a major event in September to launch new iPhones and Apple Watch models.
Last week Apple rolled out a cheaper pencil stylus for the iPad.
Apple chief executive Tim Cook last week made a surprise visit to China where the government has ordered officials not to use the iPhone or other foreign devices at work.
